The Resolve file in the deployed crack folder is in the form of a document file, not a Unix executable. Therefore, copying and pasting this file to the Mac OS folder will not succeed in cracking. Therefore, you won’t be able to fix the problem until you modify and re-deploy the deployed Resolve file to a Unix executable file.
Having trouble with the .license I’ve placed it inside of the correct folder. Yet it still continues to ask for it. Would anyone be able to help me, don’t mind cashapping or apple paying a couple bucks.
Alright, so I also got stuck with 2 problems and managed to solve them successfully.
Problem1: How to make “Resolve” file Unix Executable File
Solution: Open “Terminal” Type “chmod +x” (without quotes, yes, there is space between chmod and +x, yes +x is to be typed)
DO NOT hit enter yet
Add 1 more space after “+x” and
Drag the resolve file (presuming you have already pasted it in the said directory) to this terminal window
HIT Enter and done
Problem2: .license folder not visible
Solution: This will only be visible after DaVinci resolve launched for the 1st time after Resolve file made executable (i.e. Problem1).
When DaVinci asks for license key, just quote (CMD+Q)
Now open this folder manual > Finder > CMD+Shift+G > Paste path from the read me file (/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/.license)
if you properly follow all the directions given it will work it took me multiple attempts but it did worked.
make resolve executable how ? find the comment who have mentioned how to do it .
then find one to see hidden folder and copy licence key properly
at the end it will work
It appears that there are multiple Library folders that Davinci installs files onto and you need to locate the correct one.
Solution: On your desktop, click Finder – > settings – > general
make sure “Hard Disks” Is checked
Enter your Macintosh HD and there you will find the correct “Library”
When you go into Application support/DaVinci Resolve, you will see a hidden .license folder(If not make sure you open and close the app for it to appear)
To show hidden files on Mac, press CMD + .
How do you make the Resolve file executable? Can’t open either way :(. Also for people having issues with activation you will have to put the file in the .license folder.
Go to the directory in the instructions then Hold “CMD + SHIFT + .” this will show the .license folder.
Same. Tried a few times – Followed instructions 100% but still asks for activation key. “Resolve” file also needed to be made executable within Terminal as it came through as a text doc.
Will this crack still work if I update to the latest version of Resolve? TIA
no, we will update it once we get new version
